The Nutcracker

Musilk is an independent poster design project to express classical music by graphics and typefaces, and the theme of this series of four posters is The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s ballet music. The Nutcracker is an imaginative fairy tale work, I chose the four most expressive dance music in the ballet as the object, and made a type design for the titles of the four dance music, visually expressing the proud, mysterious, naughty and unrestrained temperament of the four dances, in which the shape and posture of the types are also the reproduction of the melody characteristics of the music. The posters are printed in three neon colors and one golden color to reflect the loud, thick, crisp and intense timbre of the four musics. The final presentation of the work uses special-shaped die-cutting, and the irregular shape symbolizes the nature of the dance music of the original work.

Musilk是一個自發的海報設計項目，旨在用圖形和字體來表達古典音樂。這一系列四張海報的主題是胡桃夾子，既柴可夫斯基的同名芭蕾舞劇音樂。這是一部充滿想象力的以童話為背景的作品，我選擇了這部芭蕾舞劇配樂中最有表現力的四個舞曲作為對象，並對四首舞曲的標題做了字形的設計，將這四首樂曲得意、神秘、調皮和奔放的氣質進行了視覺上的表達，其文字的造型和姿態也是對樂曲旋律特征的再現，海報的印刷分別使用了3個熒光色和1個金色來體現四首樂曲響亮、渾厚、清脆和熱烈的音色。作品的最終呈現使用了異形模切，不規整的外形象征了原作品舞蹈配樂的性質。
